As the season wears on, the fleet is feeling the pressure to bring in a hefty catch. With the end of opilio season a mere three weeks away, captains and crews are pushing themselves to the limit in order to hit their quotas. In this episode, tensions run high as the Bering Sea offers up both lucrative and dangerous opportunities.
On board the Wizard, Captain Keith Colburn is making some bold decisions. He's decided to head to Ocean Bay, an area notorious for its high amounts of bairdi crab but also for its unpredictable weather patterns. Keith knows that the risk could be worth it, and his crew agrees to follow him. What follows is a white-knuckle journey through freezing waters and raging winds. Meanwhile, greenhorn Freddy Maugatai is struggling to keep up with the demands of the job and finds himself in hot water with Keith.
Over on the Time Bandit, Captain Johnathan Hillstrand is dealing with his own set of challenges. He's found a sweet spot for opilio crab, but his pots are also attracting a lot of unwanted attention from other boats in the area. As the captain of one of the fleet's most successful vessels, Johnathan knows that he's a target for jealousy and sabotage. He and his crew must stay vigilant and keep their wits about them if they want to come out on top.
On the Cape Caution, Captain Wild Bill Wichrowski is in a difficult situation. His pots are coming up empty, and he can't figure out why. He suspects that there may be some kind of predator lurking in the area, but he's not sure what it could be. As he struggles to solve the mystery, tensions rise between him and his crew. Bill is known for his tough love approach, but in this episode, it may be pushing his men to their breaking point.
The Cornelia Marie is also facing its fair share of challenges. Captain Josh Harris is feeling the weight of the legacy left by his late father, Phil. He knows that the family name is on the line, and he wants to make sure that his crew is performing at their best. However, tensions between deckhands Jake and Casey are threatening to throw a wrench in the works. As the two men clash, Josh must step in and play mediator before things get out of hand.
As the clock ticks down on the opilio season, the crews of the Deadliest Catch are facing their toughest challenges yet. In this episode, each boat is pushed to its limits as they fight to bring in as much crab as possible. Will they be able to meet their quotas before it's too late? Or will the Bering Sea have the final say? The only way to find out is to tune in to We're Not Gonna Take It.
