Homer draws his gun and shoots Laura Lee's husband, causing a shootout between him and the rest of the caravan. During the chaos, Laura Lee manages to slip away and seek help from a local sheriff.
The sheriff arrives in time to prevent any more bloodshed and arrests Homer and Two-bit. Laura Lee is grateful for the sheriff's intervention and her husband's attacker being brought to justice. The episode ends with Laura Lee leaving town with the caravan, hoping to put this dangerous encounter behind her.
"Fortune Teller" is a gripping and suspenseful episode that explores themes of revenge, justice, and the dangers of believing in superstition and hearsay.
