After the revelation of last week's episode, Daisy and Mason are in therapy in the opening scene of "Business Unfinished." Daisy is still trying to come to terms with her father's infidelity while Mason is coming to grips with his role in a recent death.
Meanwhile, George is assigned a new reap, a man named Tyler who died in a car accident. But when George arrives at his house, she discovers that Tyler's ghost is still there, unable to move on due to a lingering regret. George decides to help Tyler and discovers that his "business" is with a man named Andrew whose family business he tried to steal. In order to get Tyler to crossover, George tries to resolve his unfinished business.
Elsewhere, Joy is hosting a dinner party at the Lass house, inviting several of her friends including Delores, her hairdresser, and her husband Clancy's new boss. But Clancy is feeling uncomfortable with his new job and worries that his wife's social circle will judge him harshly.
As the dinner party progresses, tensions between Clancy and his boss escalate while Delores and Joy engage in some small talk. But then things take a turn when a mysterious man shows up at the door, claiming to be Joy's ex-boyfriend. This unexpected arrival creates chaos at the dinner party and leads to a confrontation between Joy and Clancy.
In the midst of all this, George is struggling to resolve Tyler's unfinished business with Andrew. She decides to take matters into her own hands and confronts Andrew directly, but her plan backfires when she learns the shocking truth about Tyler's death.
Back at the Lass house, the dinner party is finally coming to an end and all the guests are leaving. But just as Joy is about to go to bed, she discovers a mysterious package waiting for her on her doorstep. The package contains a videotape and a note from her ex-boyfriend, revealing a shocking secret from Joy's past.
As the episode comes to a close, George finally resolves Tyler's unfinished business, allowing him to crossover peacefully. And while Joy is left reeling from the revelations of her ex-boyfriend's videotape, she finds comfort in her family's love and support.
