Dead Boss is a six-part sitcom aired on BBC Three in 2012. The show was created by Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh, and starred Horgan as the lead character. The show was set in a women's prison and follows the story of a woman named Helen Stephens (Horgan), who is accused of murdering her boss and is sentenced to life in prison.

The show starts off with Helen being taken to prison and ends up in the same cell as her cellmate, the psychotic and manipulative Christine (Jennifer Saunders). The two become enemies, with Christine continually trying to make Helen's life miserable. Helen soon becomes determined to prove her innocence, with the help of her sister Laura (Aisling Bea) and her lawyer Tony (Geoffrey McGivern).

The show is a mix of dark comedy and light-hearted humor, with each episode featuring a new dilemma for Helen and her team to overcome. There are plenty of funny moments throughout the show, with Sharon Horgan delivering her lines perfectly as the slightly unhinged Helen. Saunders is also a standout, delivering a great performance as the psychotic and manipulative Christine.

One of the best aspects of the show is the way it explores the dynamics of prison life. The other inmates are all unique and quirky characters, and the show does a great job of portraying the different groups and cliques that form in prison. There's the hardcore gang of inmates who rule the prison, the religious types who spend their days praying, and the gossipmongers who know everything that's going on.

Overall, Dead Boss is a great watch for fans of dark comedy and sitcoms. The show is well-written and well-acted, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments throughout. While the show was only on for one season, it's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a quick binge-watch.

Helen is moved to D Wing where she is befriended by white collar criminal Jo. Helen receives an unwanted visit from widow Mrs Bridges, who has something interesting she wants to show her. Governor Margaret has been told of a new appointment and is determined to make her potential incumbent's life a misery. Henry makes a gruesome discovery.

There is great excitement at Broadmarsh Prison as governor Margaret announces the annual prison choir competition. Helen is persuaded to audition and is certain to be made the lead vocalist until the surpriseappearance of Virna. Meanwhile Laura and Justin are worrying about finances and incompetent lawyer Tony is suspicious of Henry's motives. Widow and Entirely Tiles MD Mrs Bridges makes an interesting discovery. The inter-prison sing-off is judged by Tony Blackburn and the Broadmarsh Prison ladies are excited to see a singing regular from Woolley Grange Prison - Nigel.

Frustrated with the lack of progress with her appeal, Helen takes matters into her own hands and decides to study the law. Top Dog has fired her posse who, lost without a leader, make Helen their new leader. Incompetent lawyer Tony has been doing some snooping at the Entirely Tiles offices and the new MD and widow Mrs Bridges is getting suspicious.

Christine has been sent to Germany on a prison exchange. Helen is instructed by prison governor Margaret to look after their German guest Gertrude Verna. Gertie is in prison for murdering and eating her husband and is a celebrity with several books to her name. Helen finds it difficult to keep Gertie out of trouble as Gertie makes her views clear what she thinks of her fellow prisoners. Investigations in the Entirely Tiles office continue.

Helen has decided to put together a team for the prison quiz and her eye is on an unexpectedly special prize. Meanwhile she receives some unexpected help from her colleague Henry.
