As Pat and Courtney journey out to help Blue Valley's residents, a new villain threatens their plan to protect the city. Their latest foe is none other than Shade, a mysterious figure who has been hiding in the shadows and seems to be connected to the ISA.
While the JSA works to uncover Shade's true identity and intentions, Barbara is making strides in her own life. She's been offered a job by an old friend, but it comes with its own set of challenges. After Courtney's meddling in her love life last season, Barbara isn't sure if she can trust her daughter's decisions, especially when it comes to the JSA.
"Summer School: Chapter Two" also dives deeper into the backstories of each of the new young heroes, revealing their motivations and struggles. For Yolanda, her decision to become Wildcat is rooted in her past and her struggle to find redemption. Meanwhile, Beth is still coming to terms with the loss of her parents and finding a sense of belonging with the JSA.
In addition to the new faces, old favorites also make cameos in this episode. Mike, Courtney's stepbrother, is back and continuing to push boundaries. And Cindy, the daughter of Dr. Ito and the new villain of the season, is beginning to set her own plan in motion.
