Curious about Madame Cospiracy's abilities, Darkwing and Launchpad set out to investigate her unconventional methods. Upon their arrival, they discover that she is using her psychic powers to scam people out of their money. Madame Cospiracy is in fact a former actress named Tia who uses special effects and hidden microphones to manipulate her clients into believing that they are speaking to their deceased loved ones.
Darkwing decides to expose Madame Cospiracy's fraudulent practices and puts Launchpad in charge of a stakeout while he infiltrates her lair. However, Madame Cospiracy is tipped off and traps Darkwing, placing him inside a coffin rigged to fall into a pool of deadly piranhas.
Meanwhile, Launchpad falls under the spell of Madame Cospiracy's charms and ends up becoming her latest mark. She convinces him that he is speaking to his idol, actor Dirk Hardpeck, who gives him a clue to Darkwing's location.
With Launchpad's help, Darkwing manages to escape the deadly piranhas and make his way back to Madame Cospiracy's lair. The two confront her, but she manages to flee. However, Darkwing is not one to let a villain get away easily and gives chase.
The episode climaxes with a thrilling chase through the city, as Madame Cospiracy attempts to outrun Darkwing and Launchpad. In the end, Darkwing apprehends the criminal and apologizes to Launchpad for getting him involved in the scam.
