Tara is excited for her first date with Ethan but quickly becomes disappointed when he refuses to dance with her. Meanwhile, the boys of the Academy are forced to take a dance class taught by their rugby coach, which brings out some unexpected insecurities and fears.
The episode starts with Tara getting ready for her first real date with Ethan. She's nervous and eager to impress him, and decides to wear a new dress that Kat helped her pick out. When Ethan arrives, he compliments her on how great she looks and they head out to a fancy restaurant.
However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when Tara suggests they dance together after dinner. Ethan seems uncomfortable with the idea and tells her that he doesn't really like dancing. Tara is hurt and confused, wondering if she's done something wrong. She confides in Kat, who suggests that perhaps Ethan is just insecure about his dancing skills.
Meanwhile, the boys of the Academy are getting ready for their rugby match against a rival school. However, when their coach discovers that some of them are struggling with their footwork, he decides to surprise them with a dance lesson instead of a regular practice. At first, the boys are hesitant and make fun of the idea of dancing. However, as the lesson progresses, they start to realize that it's not as easy as they thought.
Ollie, in particular, struggles with the dance moves and feels embarrassed and emasculated. He confides in Christian, who suggests that maybe it's not about being masculine or feminine, but about being confident in yourself and your abilities. With Christian's encouragement, Ollie starts to relax and actually enjoy the dancing.
Back at the restaurant, Tara and Ethan's date is still going poorly. Tara is upset about the dance situation and Ethan seems distant and uninterested. Eventually, Ethan admits that he's actually seeing someone else and wasn't sure how to tell Tara. Tara is devastated and feels foolish for thinking that Ethan was interested in her.
The episode ends with the boys performing their newfound dance skills for their coach, who is impressed and proud of their progress. Meanwhile, Tara is left heartbroken and unsure of what to do next. However, she realizes that she can't let one bad experience with a boy define her or her love of dancing, and decides to focus on her own passions and goals instead.
