Tara and Ethan have been uneasy around each other after a kiss shared between them in the last episode. Tara is feeling confused and doesn't know what to do or think. Meanwhile, Kat and Abigail are both busy working on a project for their International Marketing class. They have to pick a skilled worker from overseas and convince them to move to Australia so they can market them to potential employers. After lots of research, they find a fantastic and talented young dancer from Japan named Yuki.
Yuki has been dancing since she was just a little girl and has always dreamed of becoming a professional ballerina. Kat and Abigail convince her to come to Australia and audition for the Academy. Yuki has always felt like an outsider because she is from a small town and doesn't have the same opportunities as other dancers. She is excited to come to the Academy and be around other talented dancers who share her passion.
Tara discovers that Ethan skipped out on an important ballet class and failed to inform her. She is upset because they have a duet that they need to perform, and she feels like Ethan is not taking it seriously enough. Ethan tries to make up for it by suggesting they rehearse together all day, leading up to the performance. They spend the day rehearsing and getting to know each other better, which causes tensions between them to ease up.
After a long day of hard work, the entire group settles down for a picnic, where they reminisce about past experiences and their lives before the Academy. Yuki shares her story about growing up in a small town and feeling like she didn't belong. Everyone relates to her story, and they encourage her to pursue her dreams, no matter how difficult it may seem.
The group then starts to joke and have fun, enjoying the beautiful day and each other's company. Afterward, the students had to go back to class, but they all agreed that it was a perfect day.
