One night, while Miyu is cooking dinner, she notices a strange light coming from the basement. As she investigates, she discovers a mysterious spaceship and accidentally activates it. The spaceship turns out to be a baby alien named Ruu and his caretaker, Wannya, who has been sent to Earth to observe human life.

As Miyu, Kazuki, and Ruu spend more time together, they grow closer and form deep bonds of friendship. Miyu becomes a maternal figure to Ruu, who sees her as his mother, while Kazuki acts as Ruu's older brother.
