Ep 2. Tos-ta-da

In Cutthroat Kitchen season 5 episode 2, titled Tos-ta-da, four dastardly chefs compete against each other in the ultimate culinary competition. Host Alton Brown challenges the contestants to prepare a delicious dish featuring toast, tomato, and cheese. But with each round, the twists and challenges get even more devious, forcing the chefs to use all their wits and cooking skills to stay in the game.

The first round starts off with a twist, as Alton tasks the chefs with making their own bread to use for their toasts. But things escalate quickly, as one chef is forced to cook with a brick of cheese that has been frozen solid, and another is forced to switch stations with their competitor. Meanwhile, sabotage cards are handed out to the remaining chefs, allowing them to inflict cruel and unusual punishments on their fellow competitors.

As the competition moves on to the entree round, the chefs must create a delicious main course using the same ingredients from the first round, with a few extra additions. But with each chef given a makeshift kitchen where they have to cook using only tin cans and hot plates, things get even more challenging. And as the sabotage cards keep coming and the time ticks down, the competition becomes even more cutthroat.

Finally, in the dessert round, the remaining chefs must work with one of Alton's most fiendish challenges yet: a toaster that has been rigged to only work for five seconds at a time. With only a few precious moments to toast their bread, the chefs must also incorporate a surprise ingredient that they have to blindly choose from underneath a bell jar.

As the tension mounts and the dishes come out, only one chef can emerge victorious. Who will be the ultimate Cutthroat Kitchen champion, and who will be left burnt-toasted and cheeseless? You'll have to watch Tos-ta-da to find out!
