In season 13's premiere episode of Cutthroat Kitchen, titled "Gettin' Judgey With It," viewers are in for a wild ride as four chefs battle it out in the kitchen in hopes of winning $25,000.
As per usual, the show's host, Alton Brown, is up to his usual antics, adding twists and turns to the competition to keep the chefs on their toes. In this episode, the chefs are tasked with creating a dish using only ingredients found within the perimeter of a massive circular pantry. To make things even more difficult, the chefs have to bid against each other to win certain items from the pantry, and if they run out of funds, they may find themselves struggling to create a cohesive dish.
Adding to the difficulty of the challenge, one chef is given a strange and difficult-to-work-with ingredient while the others get to cook with more traditional ingredients. Another chef is forced to cook blindfolded, while another must rely on their wit and charm to convince an opposing chef to lend them a needed item.
As tensions rise in the kitchen, judges Simon Majumdar and Jet Tila taste each dish and assign it a score. However, these scores are heavily influenced by the dishes' presentation, with the judges docking points for messy plating or lackluster visual appeal.
In addition to the intense competition between the chefs, viewers can expect to see the usual quips and playful banter from Alton Brown, who is always eager to keep things interesting. And, as always, viewers are left on the edge of their seats to see which chef will emerge victorious.
Overall, "Gettin' Judgey With It" promises to be a thrilling and entertaining episode of Cutthroat Kitchen, sure to delight fans of the show and newcomers to the series alike. With unexpected twists and turns, intense competition, and plenty of laughs, viewers won't want to miss a minute of the action.
