In season 12 episode 4 of Cutthroat Kitchen, titled "I Don't Give A Clam," four chefs compete against each other for a chance to win $25,000. The first challenge requires the chefs to make a dish using only the shell of a large clam as their cooking vessel. With limited space and an unconventional cooking surface, the chefs must get creative with their ingredients and cooking techniques.
In the second challenge, the chefs are given the choice to either keep their entire workstation or exchange it for a tool that will either help or hinder their cooking. One chef decides to take a chance and trade in their pantry for a cow-shaped grill, while another trades in their knives for a set of plastic utensils.
The third challenge involves the use of a wheel that determines the amount of time each chef can use for their dish, ranging from one to five minutes. With only a short amount of time to cook, the chefs must work quickly and efficiently in order to create a dish that impresses the judges.
For the final challenge, the chefs must make a dessert using cherry pie filling, white bread, and a surprise ingredient revealed by the host. With the clock ticking down, the chefs must not only incorporate all of the ingredients, but also must incorporate the surprise ingredient in a creative and delicious way.
Throughout the episode, host Alton Brown throws in multiple sabotages and twists to try and throw the chefs off their game. With tension rising and the competition heating up, only one chef can come out on top and win the grand prize. Tune in to "I Don't Give A Clam" to see who comes out victorious in this intense competition.
