George Gets the Hiccups; The Trash Cam is an episode of the popular animated children's show, Curious George. This is the 11th episode of the 12th season of the show and it features two separate storylines.
In the first storyline, George comes down with a case of the hiccups. This is not an ordinary case of hiccups, however, as George's hiccups seem to be endless and are causing quite a commotion in the Man in the Yellow Hat's apartment. George tries various remedies to get rid of his hiccups, including holding his breath, drinking water, and even getting scared, but nothing seems to work. As the hiccups continue, George's friends start to come up with more creative solutions, including eating a spoonful of sugar and standing on their heads. In the end, George's hiccups come to an unexpected end, much to everyone's relief.
In the second storyline, the Man in the Yellow Hat has set up a camera on a trash truck to help track the journey of the trash from the apartment to the landfill. George is fascinated by the camera and decides to follow the truck to see where it goes. Along the way, George learns about the different kinds of things that people throw away and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. When the truck finally arrives at the landfill, George is surprised to see all the garbage piled up and starts to wonder how they can possibly recycle all of it. With the help of the Man in the Yellow Hat and some other friends, George learns about the different ways that garbage can be reused and recycled, including composting, incineration, and more.
The two storylines in this episode of Curious George both focus on important lessons for young children. In the first storyline, children will learn about the human body and how hiccups work, as well as some humorous remedies for getting rid of them. In the second storyline, children will learn about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling, and how our garbage can be used in ways that are good for the environment. As always, the show is presented in a fun and engaging way that is sure to capture the attention of young children and keep them entertained from beginning to end.
