- August 12, 2019
Curious George is an animated television show that follows the adventures of a lovable monkey named George. In season 11 episode 15, titled "Buggy House; Rubber Band-It," George and his friends find themselves up to their usual curious shenanigans.
The first half of the episode, "Buggy House," sees George discovering a beetle in his back yard. Fascinated by the little bug, George decides to build it a new home. With the help of his friend Bill, George constructs a buggy house complete with a rooftop garden. However, when a gust of wind blows the buggy house away, George and Bill must come up with a new plan to keep the beetle safe.
In the second half of the episode, "Rubber Band-It," George and his friend Allie stumble upon a broken birdhouse in the park. Allie explains that it was damaged by a pesky squirrel who chewed through the rubber band holding it together. Inspired by the problem, George and Allie decide to invent a new kind of rubber band that can withstand the chewing of even the hungriest squirrel.
With their minds set on the task, George and Allie head to the park to gather materials. They try everything from chewing gum to bubble gum to create the perfect rubber band, but nothing seems to work. Just as they're about to give up, they're inspired by a group of children playing with a giant rubber band.
With their newly found inspiration, George and Allie set to work, and after a few tries, they finally create a rubber band that can hold up to the squirrels' teeth. Excited by their invention, George and Allie show it off to their friends and even use it to repair the broken birdhouse.
As always, Curious George season 11 episode 15 is filled with adventure, friendship, and plenty of opportunities for young viewers to learn and grow alongside the lovable monkey and his friends.
