Ep 9. The Table Read

In season 7 episode 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm titled "The Table Read," Larry David is preparing for the first table read of his Broadway show "Fatwa! The Musical." He is stressing out about the show and trying to get everything perfect. During the table read, Larry discovers that one of the actors, Greg (Jason Antoon), has a problem with his performance. Greg seems disinterested and keeps looking at his phone during the read-through. Larry tries to confront him about it, but Greg denies everything and blames it on a personal issue.

As Larry continues to deal with Greg's behavior, he also has to navigate the other actors in the play. One of them, Chaz (Richard Kind), is constantly coughing, which annoys Larry to no end. He tries to offer Chaz cough drops, but Chaz refuses and continues to disrupt the table read. Meanwhile, another actor, Lin-Manuel Miranda, is getting annoyed with Larry's constant script changes and begins to lose his patience.

Aside from the play, Larry is also dealing with some personal issues. Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) is upset that he has been using her toothbrush and confronts him about it. Larry, of course, denies it and tries to blame it on Jeff (Jeff Garlin). He then goes to Jeff's house to try to convince Jeff to take the fall, but Jeff is not having it.

As the table read continues, Larry's stress levels reach a boiling point. He ends up storming out of the room and going to visit his therapist, Dr. Bright (Steve Coogan). Dr. Bright tries to help him deal with his issues, but Larry is more concerned with getting Greg fired from the play.

In the end, Larry's efforts to get Greg fired backfire when the producer decides to let him stay in the play. Meanwhile, things also take a turn for the worse with Cheryl when Larry accidentally spills salsa on her favorite pillow. The two get into a huge fight, leaving Larry once again dealing with the consequences of his actions.

Overall, season 7 episode 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm is a classic example of Larry David's unique brand of humor. From his constant neuroses to his bumbling attempts to fix things, Larry's adventures always make for a hilarious and entertaining show.
