Horatio and his team are still trying to deal with the death of Marisol, but they are back on the job in "CSI: Miami" season 3 episode 19. The team is led to investigate the murder of a financial investor in a high-rise office and his financial associate Paul Owen - found dead in his bathroom.

The team starts their investigation by looking into the victim's tax returns and bank records in order to find a motive for the murder. The financial investigator named Eric Keller has made a lot of rich clients through his investment strategies, and the team wonders about Keller's work ethics. Among the many potential suspects includes one of Keller's clients named Dennis Ciscowski, who recently lost his life savings under Keller's management. This makes him the prime suspect, but as the team delves deeper into Keller's investment scheme, they find that the issue runs much deeper than they originally suspected.

As the team continues to investigate, they realize that there is a link between Keller's murder and that of his financial associate, Paul Owen. Furthermore, they learn that the two had been running a Ponzi scheme, scamming their wealthy clients. The team's search leads them to meet with a web of people, including another suspect named Irina who was one of the couples' clients. The team starts to put pieces together and with Clooner's help from the FBI, they began to untangle the complex fiscal shenanigans.

Throughout the episode, Horatio continues to deal with his own grief from the loss of his beloved Marisol. It's evident that he is still trying to heal from her death, and as the team delves deeper into the tragic case, Horatio's pain resurfaces.

The dynamics between the team are on-point and the interactions between the characters are well-meshed. We get to see a softer and empathetic side of the character Calleigh. She is willing to set aside her professional pride and prejudice, putting the victim's and their families' emotions at the forefront, taking a personal interest in Keller's beloveds and their involvement with his business.

The show brings a lot of intricate details in this rollercoaster ride of an episode. Weaving together a complex storyline of Ponzi schemes and financial impropriety, while also managing the emotions of the team and their leader, Horatio. We see a calmer side to some characters but never losing the edge for which the show is known.

Overall, "CSI: Miami" season 3 episode 19 is an engaging and compelling hour that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. With stunning interactive utilization of flashbacks, the writing and pacing are extremely well-orchestrated, delivering multiple twists and turns as the team navigates an intricate web of financial intrigue. With strong performances by the cast, the episode stands out as one of the strongest in the season.
