In the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation season 9 episode 4 titled "Let it Bleed," the Las Vegas crime lab is called to investigate a violent and elaborate bank robbery gone wrong. The team discovers that the robbery was not just a simple crime, it was a carefully planned operation by a group of criminals who are later identified as highly skilled ex-military personnel.
Catherine Willows, played by Marg Helgenberger, teams up with FBI agent Jack Malone (Anthony LaPaglia) to track down the suspects who are on the run. They discover that the robbers had planned the heist down to the smallest details: from selecting the right day when the bank would have the most cash, to choosing a time when the police response time would be delayed.
As the investigation progresses, the team uncovers surprising truths about the various members of the ex-military group and their motivation for committing this crime. They find that the robbery was just a part of a complex plan with much bigger objectives that the team has yet to uncover.
Meanwhile, the rest of the CSI team is working on a separate case involving a young woman who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Las Vegas Strip. The team's investigation reveals that the woman had been working as a prostitute and was killed by one of her clients. The team works tirelessly to identify the client who is still at large as they believe he may be connected to several other similar crimes in the area.
As both cases unfold, the team comes across multiple challenges that hinder their progress, including suspects who are reluctant to talk and evidence that is hard to piece together. However, the team remains committed to uncovering the truth and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
In season 9, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation continued to be a popular and gripping crime drama that kept viewers on the edge of their seats.
