In CSI: Crime Scene Investigation season 6 episode 8, titled "A Bullet Runs Through It (Part 2)," the team continues their investigation into the shooting at the casino. The episode picks up from where the previous episode left off, as Grissom and Catherine examine the bullet that was found lodged in the victim's spinal cord. The bullet is difficult to identify, but they are eventually able to determine the exact type of gun it was fired from.
Meanwhile, Warrick and Nick investigate the casino's surveillance footage to see if they can identify the shooter. They are able to capture a clear image of the suspect but struggle to make a positive identification. They bring in a photo expert to help enhance the image and eventually identify the shooter as a local gang member.
As the investigation progresses, the team realizes that the shooting was not a random act of violence but was instead part of a larger gang-related dispute. They begin to piece together the events that led up to the shooting and follow a trail of evidence that leads them to several key suspects.
In addition to the main investigation, Sara and Greg work on a separate case involving the murder of a young woman. They examine the crime scene and collect DNA evidence, which eventually leads them to the killer. Along the way, they face several challenges, including misleading witnesses and a corrupt police officer.
As the episode draws to a close, the team is able to solve both cases and bring the perpetrators to justice. They reflect on the violence that took place in their city and the ongoing struggle to combat gang-related crime. The episode ends with a sense of resolution and closure, as the team prepares to move on to their next case.
