In CSI: Crime Scene Investigation season 4 episode 6 titled "Jackpot," the team is called in to investigate the death of a casino employee who was found in one of the hotel rooms. The man was bludgeoned to death, and it seems like a robbery gone wrong.
The team discovers that the victim was also a professional gambler and had won big at the casino recently. They start to wonder if his murder was related to his gambling winnings.
The investigation leads them to a group of avid gamblers who have been banned from the casino for counting cards. One of the members of the group had been caught on camera arguing with the victim on the night of his death, so the team decides to question him.
As they dig deeper, they discover that the group had hatched a plan to rob the casino using the security codes stolen from one of their members who worked at the casino. They had hoped to make a clean getaway with their winnings, but their plan fell apart when the victim stumbled upon them in the middle of their heist.
The team must race against the clock to catch the killer before they strike again. They use all their skills and knowledge to piece together the evidence and draw a conclusion about who the killer is.
As they gather more evidence, they start to uncover a web of lies and deceit among the group of gamblers. They must find out who among them is lying and who is telling the truth in order to solve the case.
In the end, the team is able to catch the killer and bring them to justice. The episode ends with the usual wrap-up, where the team reviews what they did and what the next steps would be in ensuring the case is closed with the full force of the law applied to the criminal involved.
