Cruel Love, also known as Bad Love, is a South Korean television series that is primarily aired on KBS2. This television series is directed by Kwon Gye Hong, and it was written by Lee Yoo Jin. Cruel Love also stars many well known actors and actresses such as Park Keun Hyeong, Song Ok Suk, Kim Chang Wan, Bang Eun Hee, Kim Min Jung, Choi Yong Min, Yu Ji In, Choi Seong Min, Kim Hyang Gi, and Lee Ju Seok.

This television series is mainly focused around a young woman by the name of In Jung, who was a talented cellist who never lacked anything, and a married man by the name of Soo Hwan. In Jung ends up falling in love with Soo Hwan while she was a member of the orchestra, but Soo Hwan was sent to jail for 5 years for committing adultery, seeing as how he was married to some other woman. This ultimately leads to In Jung to no longer be in the orchestra, and has to work in a poor village selling fried chicken. Leaving In Jung with no hope for herself or her life.

Then one day, In Jung runs into a young man by the name of Yongki. Yongki grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and was a pop artist. He too lost his first true love. Upon several run ins here and there between the two, they both begin to realize that they have love in their heart's for one another. Unfortunately, by the time In Jung realizes she loves young Yongki, her former love and life ruiner Soo Hwan, has been released from jail. Leaving In Jung in a battle between her former lover and her new one.
