In the eighth episode of Crime 360 season two, titled "Killing Spree," viewers are taken to Louisville, Kentucky, where a series of murders have occurred in rapid succession. The detectives at the Louisville Metro Police Department are tasked with piecing together the clues left behind at each crime scene to identify the elusive killer.

The episode opens with a voiceover from Detective Sergeant Dewayne Wheaton, who walks the audience through the grisly details of the first murder. A young woman, Marie Garmon, was found dead in her apartment, shot multiple times at close range. As the detectives sift through the evidence, it becomes clear that this was no random act of violence.

Soon after the Garmon murder, another woman, Sybil Bolton, is found dead in her home. Like Garmon, she had been shot several times in the head. The similarities between the two deaths lead the police to believe that they are dealing with a serial killer. As more bodies turn up, the tension intensifies, and the community is on edge.

The detectives use a variety of techniques to try and track down the killer, including canvassing the neighborhoods where the murders took place, analyzing phone records, and interviewing possible witnesses. They also rely on modern forensic technology, such as blood spatter analysis and ballistics testing, to help link the various crime scenes together.

As the investigation continues, the detectives start to piece together a suspect profile. They believe that the killer is likely a white male between the ages of 25 and 35, with a history of violent behavior. He may also have a job that allows him to move around the city, such as a delivery driver or repairman.

One breakthrough in the case comes when the police obtain a DNA sample from one of the crime scenes. Using this sample, they are able to identify a suspect, named Jeffrey Mundt. However, Mundt is a known drug user and has a criminal record, and the detectives are unable to locate him. The investigation stalls for a few weeks, and another murder occurs.

The pressure is on for the detectives to solve the case before the killer strikes again. They decide to go public with their search for Mundt, hoping that someone will come forward with information. It pays off when a tipster leads the police to a hotel room where Mundt is staying. He is brought in for questioning, and the detectives are able to match his DNA to the sample found at the crime scene.

The final portion of the episode focuses on the trial of Jeffrey Mundt. The prosecution presents a strong case, with testimony from the detectives, forensic experts, and witnesses who saw Mundt in the area of the murders. However, the defense argues that the DNA evidence is not enough to convict Mundt beyond a reasonable doubt. In the end, the jury must decide whether or not he is guilty of the killings.

Overall, "Killing Spree" is a gripping episode of Crime 360 that highlights the methodical and thorough work of homicide detectives. It is a reminder that even in the face of daunting odds, justice can be served through diligence and perseverance.
