In season 5, episode 3 of the hit show Crank Yankers, viewers are treated to an uproarious hour of prank calls featuring three of the most hilarious comedians in showbiz: Sarah Silverman, Abbi Jacobson, and Will Forte.
The episode kicks off with Silverman (of "Wreck-It Ralph" and "The Sarah Silverman Program" fame) making a prank call to a medical supply company, posing as a hapless patient in need of an obnoxiously large wheelchair. She convincingly plays the role of a dimwitted customer, insisting on the most absurd and outlandish customization options available. Her call quickly devolves into a series of side-splitting exchanges, with the representative on the other end struggling to keep up with Silverman's outrageous requests.
Next up, "Broad City" star Abbi Jacobson takes the reins with her own hilarious prank call. In this segment, Jacobson channels her inner Valley Girl persona, placing a call to a DJ gear shop to inquire about the latest and greatest turntables. With a pitch-perfect blend of entitlement and ignorance, Jacobson's character manages to insult the salesperson at every turn, oblivious to her own absurdity. Jacobson's impeccable comedic timing and delivery make this segment one of the standout moments of the episode.
Last but certainly not least, "SNL" alum Will Forte joins the fun with a prank call of his own. In this segment, he plays a cheerful but clueless employee of a local hardware store, tasked with answering customer questions over the phone. Forte's character quickly proves himself to be woefully ill-prepared for the job, relying on increasingly bizarre and nonsensical responses to field queries about everything from plumbing to electrical wiring. The resulting exchange is a masterclass in absurdist humor, with Forte's quick wit and impeccable timing on full display.
As with every episode of Crank Yankers, this one is chock full of hilarious moments that will have viewers in stitches from start to finish. From Silverman's deadpan delivery to Jacobson's infectious energy and Forte's off-the-wall improvisation, each comedian brings a unique style and sensibility to their respective segments. Whether you're a diehard fan of the show or simply looking for a good laugh, there's no denying that season 5, episode 3 of Crank Yankers is not to be missed.
