In season 2 episode 2 of Crank Yankers, comedians Wanda Sykes and Robert Schimmel lend their voices to this hilarious prank call show.
The episode kicks off with a call from Special Ed (voiced by Jim Florentine) to a pest control company. Special Ed, who has a history of frustrating phone operators, asks the operator to help him catch a mouse that he's named Cheese. The operator does her best to help, but Special Ed's antics quickly escalate with hilarious results.
Next up is an unsuspecting plumber who receives a call from Niles Standish (voiced by Dane Cook), a wealthy and eccentric man who wants the plumber to build a completely unnecessary indoor pool within 24 hours. The plumber is skeptical, but Niles' persistence and outrageous demands lead to a side-splitting conversation.
Later in the episode, Wanda Sykes voices Gladys Murphy, a woman who calls a health food store to ask if they carry any aphrodisiacs. The store employee (voiced by Adam Carolla) tries to remain professional, but Gladys' suggestive comments and hilarious puns (such as asking for "love nuts") make it difficult for him to keep a straight face.
In another call, Bobby Fletcher (voiced by Jimmy Kimmel) contacts a retirement home and pretends to be an elderly resident who's upset because the staff member he's talking to won't stop playing loud music. As Bobby rants and raves, the staff member tries his best to calm him down and keep the peace.
The episode wraps up with a call from Robert Schimmel, who voices "The Truth," a grizzled old man who's had it up to here with his noisy neighbors. The Truth calls a radio station to vent his frustrations, but the host (voiced by Tracy Morgan) offers little sympathy and plenty of laughs.
Overall, season 2 episode 2 of Crank Yankers is a laugh-out-loud funny installment that features some of the funniest comedians in the business. The pranks and phone calls are outrageous and unpredictable, and the comedic timing of the cast is flawless. Whether you're a fan of prank shows or just looking for a good laugh, this episode of Crank Yankers is sure to deliver.
