Annie is tasked with retrieving sensitive information from an Iranian delegate, who is in town for a nuclear conference. She is given the mission by Ryan, who prefaces it by warning Annie that she’ll have to be careful in order to avoid igniting a political “tinderbox”.
Annie quickly makes her way to the hotel where the delegate is staying, in hopes of making contact with him. Her first attempt goes awry when she is detained by hotel security, but she quickly regroups and comes up with a new plan.
With the help of Auggie, who is back at the CIA clocking in as the head of Tech Ops, Annie manages to orchestrate a meeting with the delegate. However, the meeting doesn’t go as planned, as the delegate is hesitant to divulge any information given that their conversation is being monitored by security cameras.
Annie decides to take a different approach and invites the delegate to a private party that she’s organizing on behalf of Ryan. With the promise of live entertainment and plenty of champagne, the delegate is lured into attending the event.
During the party, Annie’s plan is to ply the delegate with beverages and casually extract the information needed, and she’s almost successful. That is until a fight breaks out, causing guests to scatter and Annie to lose track of the delegate.
Meanwhile, Calder and Sydney are busy trying to gain intel on a Venezuelan arms dealer, with Calder resorting to using personal information about the dealer’s girlfriend to gain her cooperation.
In Ukraine, Arthur is working with Caitlyn to uncover details about the leak that started the Russian annexation, but their progress is hindered by the unexpected visit of an MI-6 agent. Arthur is left wondering if the British are trying to help or hinder his mission.
As the episode comes to a close, Annie reflects on the lessons that she’s learned from her mission. She realizes that in order to succeed in her work, she must think beyond traditional methods and be willing to take chances and risks.
