In the eighth episode of the third season of Courage the Cowardly Dog, titled "So in Louvre Are We Two / Night of the Scarecrow," Courage and his owners, Muriel and Eustace, find themselves on two separate spooky adventures.
In the first segment, "So in Louvre Are We Two," the trio takes a trip to Paris and visits the famous Louvre Museum. While Muriel and Eustace are admiring the art, Courage encounters a mysterious, ghostly spirit who leads him on a wild chase through the museum. Along the way, Courage discovers some unexpected secrets about the artwork, as well as the ghostly figure's true identity. As always, Courage must summon all of his courage to save himself and his owners from danger.
In the second segment, "Night of the Scarecrow," the trio returns home to their rural farmhouse, where they find themselves under attack from a vengeful scarecrow. The scarecrow, who has been possessed by the spirit of a farmer who was wronged by Eustace's ancestors, seeks revenge on the family by wreaking havoc on their farm. Courage must protect Muriel and Eustace from the evil scarecrow's wrath, while also trying to figure out a way to break the cursed farmer's curse.
With its unique blend of humor, horror, and heart, "So in Louvre Are We Two / Night of the Scarecrow" is a standout episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog's third season. Fans of the show will enjoy the many twists and turns of the two separate adventures, as well as the always-entertaining interactions between Courage, Muriel, and Eustace.
