Ep 2. Monsters in Our Midst

In Costume Quest Season 1 Episode 2, titled "Monsters in Our Midst", the storyline follows a group of Halloween-loving kids named Wren, Reynold, and Everett, as they carry on with their mission to protect their neighborhood from the monsters that lurk in the shadows during Halloween night.

The episode starts with the trio trick-or-treating in their neighborhood, where they come across a group of kids that has settled near a house and has been screaming in fear. The three curious kids quickly approach the scene only to find out that Mr. Jenkins, the man living in that house, has disappeared, and instead, a creepy monster has taken his place.

Wren, Reynold, and Everett recognize the monster as one of the ones threatening their neighborhood, but to make matters worse, the monster has brought a horde of other creatures with it. The trio knows that they need to act fast to protect their neighborhood and take down the monsters, so they head back home to gear up.

Once they reach home, they realize that they need to try out new costumes to fight the monsters. Wren chooses a robot costume, Reynold puts on a space costume, and Everett dons a ninja outfit. Together, they head back to the neighborhood to confront the monsters.

As they approach the monsters again, the trio engages in combat, using their unique abilities that come with their costumes. However, their first encounter is a complete failure as the monsters overpower the kids. They retreat and come up with a new plan, which involves creating decoy monsters to lure the real monsters in and trap them.

The three kids work together and concoct an elaborate plan. They make a fake monster by stuffing a pumpkin and using a flashlight to light it up. They manage to corner the monsters and trap them, but the real challenge is yet to come. While they're busy trying to lock them in, one of the kids accidentally lets one of the monsters loose.

With a sense of urgency at an all-time high, Wren, Reynold, and Everett work together to chase down the monster, hoping that they can catch it before it reaches other parts of the neighborhood. They follow it as it runs down the streets, jumping over garbage cans and in-between houses.

Finally, the trio catches the monster, and they realize that the monster is not as it seems. The kids discover that it is Mr. Jenkins dressed up to look like a monster. He tells them the reason behind his actions, and the trio empathizes with the old man.

Costume Quest Season 1 Episode 2, "Monsters in Our Midst" is a heartwarming story about friendship, bravery, and how one should never judge a person by their appearance alone. The trio showed that by sticking together, believing in themselves, and relying on one another, anything is possible. The episode highlights the importance of teamwork and teaches us that we do not have to face our problems alone.
