Back at the diner, the Hero Sandwich competition heats up when Lacey introduces her own sandwich, called the "Villain Sandwich." This becomes a source of contention between Brent and Lacey, who both want their sandwich to be the most popular.

Throughout the episode, the characters deal with various hijinks and obstacles. Wanda Dollard, the gas station attendant, discovers that her car has a flat tire. Karen Pelly, the café owner, tries to become a mentor to a young girl who is interested in starting her own business. And Hank gets into a disagreement with his ex-girlfriend, who he accidentally invited to his home to watch a movie.
