Cooked with Cannabis is a unique cooking show that highlights the art of cannabis cuisine. In this show, three chefs compete against each other to create the best cannabis-infused dishes, while also educating the viewers about the benefits of cannabis and how it can be incorporated into everyday cooking. In season 1 episode 5, titled 'High Holidays', the chefs prepare dishes that are perfect for holiday celebrations.
The episode begins with host Kelis introducing the three chefs - Ryan, Andrea, and Brian. Kelis explains that all the dishes produced in this episode will have a festive and holiday theme. The chefs then proceed to introduce themselves and their cooking styles.
In the preliminary round, the chefs are given 30 minutes to create an appetizer using cannabis. The catch is that they have to use holiday-themed ingredients. Ryan chooses to make roasted butternut squash soup with a cannabis-infused coconut cream. Andrea creates a salad using cannabis-infused cranberry dressing. Brian opts for a smoked salmon dish with cannabis-infused dill cream cheese spread. The judges are impressed with all three dishes, but the salad proves to be the most popular, and Andrea wins the round.
For the main course, the chefs have one hour to prepare a holiday-themed dish that incorporates both cannabis and meat. Ryan decides to make a cannabis and turkey pot pie, using fresh herbs to complement the flavors. Andrea creates a cannabis and ham dish, which she serves with a side of cannabis-infused cornbread. Brian goes for a classic beef Wellington, using cannabis-infused mustard and cream sauce. The judges are impressed with all three dishes again, but the turkey pot pie proves to be the most flavorful dish and Ryan wins the round.
Finally, for the dessert round, the chefs have 45 minutes to make a cannabis-infused dessert that is both festive and delicious. Ryan chooses to make cannabis-infused pumpkin pie, using traditional holiday spices to enhance the flavor. Andrea creates a cannabis-infused apple cider donut, which she serves with a cannabis-infused caramel sauce. Brian opts for a cannabis-infused gingerbread cake, which he serves with cannabis-infused whipped cream. The judges are pleased with all three desserts, but the gingerbread cake proves to be the most unique and flavorful. Brian wins the round, tying the competition at one win each for Ryan and Brian.
To break the tie, the final challenge is a cannabis-infused beverage round, where the chefs have to create a festive drink using cannabis. Ryan creates a cannabis-infused eggnog, using nutmeg and cinnamon to enhance the flavor. Andrea creates a cannabis-infused apple cider cocktail, which she serves garnished with an apple slice. Brian opts for a cannabis-infused hot chocolate, using dark chocolate to add depth to the flavor. The judges are once again impressed with all three drinks, but the hot chocolate proves to be the most comforting and flavorful of all, earning Brian the win.
In the end, Brian emerges as the winner of the High Holidays episode of Cooked with Cannabis. The episode showcases the versatility of cannabis-infused cuisine, and how it can be used to elevate traditional holiday dishes. The judges and viewers are left impressed with the creativity and skill of all three chefs, and looking forward to the next episode of this unique cooking competition.
