In A Galaxy Very Nearby is the sixth episode of the seventh season of Comic Book Men. In this episode, the guys at the Secret Stash Comic Book store are presented with some interesting items that they have to evaluate and decide whether or not they are worth purchasing. Spoiler alert, they are all related to Star Wars in some way.
First up is a vintage Darth Vader action figure, still in its original packaging. Mike is especially excited about it since he used to collect Star Wars figures when he was younger. Of course, they have to check if it's a fake or not before they can offer a fair price for it. Next, a customer brings in a replica of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Episode IV. Kevin and Mike both geek out over its authenticity, while Walt is left feeling a little envious that he doesn't have one of his own.
As if their day couldn't get any better, a customer walks in with a box of Star Wars memorabilia that he wants to sell. Inside the box are a bunch of original Kenner Star Wars figures from the late 70s and early 80s. Ming can barely contain his excitement as he pulls out each figure and admires its condition. He even tries to convince the customer to part with a rare Jawa figure that he's been searching for a long time.
But they also have to contend with some tricky customers in this episode. One customer tries to haggle for a lower price on the Darth Vader figure, claiming he's seen it for cheaper elsewhere. Meanwhile, another customer brings in an autographed photo of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, but it's not clear whether the signature is genuine or not. The guys bring in an expert to authenticate it, but even then, they're not sure they want to part with the money it would take to buy it.
Overall, In A Galaxy Very Nearby is a fun-filled episode for Star Wars fans and collectors alike. It's enjoyable to watch the guys at the Secret Stash geek out over their favorite sci-fi franchise and determine the value of these rare items. Even those who aren't die-hard fans of Star Wars can appreciate the excitement and nostalgia that these items evoke. And who knows, viewers may even be inspired to dig through their own old boxes of toys and see if any treasures are hiding inside.
