Ep 4. Celebrity Come Dine with Me - Helen Lederer
- March 19, 2009
Celebrity Come Dine With Me returns with its second episode of this season, featuring the hilarious and talented actress and comedian, Helen Lederer. The competition begins with Helen being joined by three other celebrities, who will all be taking turns hosting dinner parties in their own homes over the next few days. The celebrity contestants are model and actress Danielle Lloyd, former footballer Lee Sharpe, and Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis.
The contestants all have a chance to showcase their culinary skills, and they will be judged by their fellow celebrity contestants, who will be rating each other's efforts. Each dinner will be scored out of ten, with points being awarded for the food, entertainment, and overall experience.
Helen Lederer is the first celebrity to host a dinner party, and she is well aware of the tough competition she is up against. She begins to prepare an enticing menu of grilled squab, followed by an indulgent croquembouche dessert. As the evening progresses, the guests begin to get to know each other and sparks fly as they all try to outdo each other with witty comments and hilarious banter.
The following day, Danielle Lloyd takes on the challenge of hosting a dinner party. She knows that the competition is tough, and so she decides to pull out all the stops, bringing in a personal chef to help her prepare a luxurious three-course meal. Her menu includes an oyster and champagne starter, followed by grilled lobster, and a chocolate fondue for dessert.
As the evening progresses, the four celebrities take part in a series of games and challenges to keep themselves entertained, including a game of 'never have I ever' and a hilarious karaoke session. It's clear that everyone is having a fantastic time, but tensions begin to rise as the scoring process looms.
Next up is Lee Sharpe, who takes his turn to host a dinner party. He is determined to impress his fellow contestants with his culinary skills, and he starts by preparing a delicious scallop starter. For his main course, he serves up succulent steaks and a selection of colourful vegetables, before finishing off with a classy lemon tart.
The final dinner party is hosted by Stephanie Davis, who knows that she will need to pull something spectacular out of the bag to win the competition. She starts with an intriguingly named amuse-bouche, before serving up an opulent seafood platter. For her main course, she opts for a classic Sunday roast, complete with all the trimmings, and finishes off with an indulgent chocolate cake.
As the evening comes to a close, the scoring process begins, and the celebrities all cast their votes for their favourite dinner party. With tensions high and the competition fierce, it's anyone's guess who will come out on top. Will it be Helen's expertise in the kitchen, Danielle's luxurious menu, Lee's stylish presentation, or Stephanie's classic British fare that wins the day? Tune in to find out!
