The show begins with a mysterious alien invasion that has left Earth divided into separate blocs under the control of the extraterrestrial forces. Los Angeles is one such bloc, ruled by the “Red Hats,” government soldiers tasked with maintaining order and enforcing the new rules. Within the city, ordinary citizens are struggling to survive, living under curfew, rationing food, and facing punishment for disobeying the alien regime.

Will Bowman is a man trying to keep his family together in this harsh new world. Forced to work for the government, he is eventually given a task: to find his son, Charlie, who is missing. Will soon discovers the dark truth about the Resistance and the mysterious forces that have taken over the planet. As he delves deeper into the conspiracy, he realizes that the lives of his family and the resistance are intertwined, and that there may be no way out of their predicament.

Katie, on the other hand, is part of the Resistance. She is a woman who has never given up on hope, even in the face of overwhelming odds. Secretly working to overthrow the regime, she is determined to find a way to help her family and bring down the system from within.

As the series progresses, Will and Katie’s worlds collide, and the two must navigate a dangerous web of secrets and lies. They are joined by other characters who have their own personal struggles and motives, adding more layers to the complex narrative.

The show’s themes of survival, loyalty, and family are explored throughout each episode, as the characters strive to keep one another safe in a world that is increasingly hostile.
