College Life was a reality television show that aired on MTV in 2009. The show followed the lives of four roommates attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison: Jordan, Kevin, Andrea, and Lindsay. The show aimed to capture the ups and downs of college life, from classes and exams to parties and relationships.
Jordan Ellerman was a business major with a passion for music. He played guitar and wrote songs, often performing at local bars and coffee shops. Jordan was also one of the more outgoing members of the group, always willing to socialize and have a good time. He struggled with finding a balance between his studies and his music, but ultimately found a way to make both work.
Kevin Tracy was a pre-medical student who had a reputation for being a workaholic. He spent most of his time studying, and was often seen buried in textbooks. Kevin had a perfectionist streak and was determined to maintain his spotless GPA. However, he also had a playful side, and wasn't opposed to having a little fun with his roommates.
Andrea Endries was an education major with a love for children. She was heavily involved in volunteering, and spent much of her free time working with kids at local schools and community centers. Andrea was also a loyal friend, always willing to lend a listening ear or offer a shoulder to cry on. She struggled with being away from her family, but found comfort in her close relationships with her roommates.
Lindsay was the fourth member of the group, but was not featured as prominently as the other three. She was a nursing major who kept to herself more often than not, and did not have as much of a presence on the show as the others.
Each episode of College Life focused on a specific theme, such as midterms, winter break, or St. Patrick's Day. The show often showcased the group's interactions with one another, as well as their personal struggles and accomplishments. Viewers were able to see the challenges of balancing schoolwork with a social life, as well as the difficulties of maintaining long-distance relationships.
The show received mixed reviews, with some critics praising its realistic portrayal of college life, while others criticized it for being too manufactured. Additionally, some viewers were turned off by the constant partying and drinking on the show, which they felt did not accurately reflect the college experience as a whole.
Despite its critics, College Life was popular enough to earn a second season, which would have followed a new group of roommates at a different university. However, the show was ultimately cancelled due to low ratings.
Overall, College Life offered a glimpse into the lives of four college students navigating their way through the ups and downs of higher education. It showed the highs of new friendship and the low of failed relationships. It's the show which most of the audience found relatable with their young adulthood. The show might have faced some critics over it's partiality of partying but it had covered all other aspects of a college-life which made the show different from other reality shows.
