In the first episode of Codename: Kids Next Door, titled Operation: I.-S.C.R.E.A.M. / Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N., we are introduced to the world of the Kids Next Door, a group of five children who form a secret organization to fight against adult tyranny and protect the rights of kids everywhere.

But their victory is short-lived, as they soon discover that their rival organization, the Delightful Children From Down the Lane, is planning to launch an attack on their headquarters.
In the second half of the episode, titled Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N., the Kids Next Door prepare for the coming assault by constructing a powerful cannon to defend their base. But their plans are thrown into chaos when the Delightful Children arrive early, catching them off guard and launching a ferocious assault.
In the ensuing battle, the Kids Next Door are pushed to the brink of defeat, but they refuse to surrender. With the help of their new cannon, they are able to turn the tide and repel the Delightful Children's attack, sending them fleeing back to their own lair.
In the end, the Kids Next Door emerge victorious, having successfully defended their base and preserved the freedom of kids everywhere. But the danger is far from over, and the team knows that they must be constantly vigilant in their fight against adult tyranny.
