Ep 1. Series 4, Day 1

Coach Trip follows a group of strangers as they embark on a tour of Europe on a coach. In season 4, episode 1, the new group of travelers gathers at a hotel in Nice, France to begin their journey. The group consists of eight pairs of friends who are all hoping to make new connections and have fun on their travels.

As they board their coach, the pairs are introduced to their tour guide and driver, Brendan and Paul. Brendan explains the rules of the trip, including that each day, the pairs will vote for the couple they think should be "yellow-carded" and potentially sent home. This immediately sets the tone for a competitive trip, as the pairs begin sizing each other up and strategizing.

The first stop on the trip is the nearby city of Cannes, home to the famous film festival. The pairs are given a photo scavenger hunt to complete, which includes tasks such as taking a photo with a celebrity impersonator and finding a street with their team name in it. This leads to lots of hilarity as the couples race around the city trying to complete their tasks.

After the scavenger hunt, the group returns to the coach to continue on their journey. Along the way, they stop at a vineyard in Provence for a wine tasting and tour. This gives the pairs a chance to get to know each other better over a few glasses of wine. However, tensions rise when one of the pairs is accused of cheating during the scavenger hunt, leading to a heated argument on the coach.

The group eventually arrives at their next destination, a campsite in the French countryside. Here, they will be staying for the next few nights. The group is split into two teams for a game of paintball, which quickly turns into a competitive and messy affair.

That night, the pairs bond over a campfire and a few drinks. However, tensions between certain pairs still linger, and the evening ends with another argument. Brendan reminds the group that they need to work together if they want to make it through the trip and encourages them to focus on having fun.

Overall, Series 4, Day 1 sets the stage for a drama-filled and competitive journey through Europe. As the pairs get to know each other better, alliances will be formed and rivalries will emerge. Who will make it to the end of the trip, and who will be sent home early? Only time will tell.
