Flint Lockwood is a brilliant inventor who has finally created a machine that turns water into food. He’s thrilled that his invention works, but things quickly get out of hand when his machine becomes too powerful and starts to produce food storms that threaten to destroy the town of Swallow Falls.
In season 1 episode 3, titled "Princess Kittymittens," the townspeople are excitedly preparing for the annual Swallow Falls Kitten Convention. Flint is determined to impress his childhood crush and fellow inventor, Sam Sparks, by creating a new invention in time for the convention. With his trusty sidekick, Steve the monkey, Flint sets out to build a remote control booth that can control any machine.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Swallow Falls, Mayor Shelbourne, is hiding a dark secret. He's been embezzling funds from the town and is deeply in debt to a dangerous loan shark. To cover his tracks, the mayor decides to use Flint's invention to steal the coveted prize at the kitten convention, a rare Himalayan kitten known as Princess Kittymittens.
As Flint works on his invention, he meets a new friend, Tim Lockwood, who claims to be his long-lost father. Tim is a charming and charismatic con man who wants to help his son take down the corrupt mayor and save the town. Together, Flint and Tim work to create the ultimate invention that can outsmart the mayor's plot and save Princess Kittymittens.
As the convention approaches, tensions rise, and Flint struggles to complete his invention in time. Meanwhile, Sam becomes suspicious of the mayor's motives and starts investigating his plans. When the mayor's henchmen attack the convention, chaos ensues, and it's up to Flint and Sam to use their inventions to save the day.
