In Clone High season 1 episode 5, titled "Sleep of Faith: La Rue D'Awakening," the students of Clone High are tasked with participating in a mandatory sleep deprivation study for the betterment of science. This proves to be easier said than done, as the study's administrator, Mr. Sheepman, is a sadistic sleep deprivation enforcer who takes pleasure in keeping the clones awake.
As the sleepless nights continue, the clones begin to suffer from extreme exhaustion and paranoia, causing them to hallucinate and lash out at one another. Amidst the chaos, JFK and Cleopatra continue their flirtatious dance, while Abe tries to reconcile his feelings for Joan, who he believes may be suffering from a rare sleeping disorder.
Meanwhile, Principal Scudworth becomes obsessed with achieving the perfect night's sleep and enlists the help of Mr. Butlertron to create the ultimate sleep chamber. But things take a dark turn when Scudworth's selfish desires come to light, and the clones must band together to put an end to the sleep deprivation study and take down Mr. Sheepman once and for all.
Filled with hilarious one-liners, surreal dream sequences, and unexpected twists, "Sleep of Faith: La Rue D'Awakening" is a standout episode of Clone High that captures the series' unique blend of irreverent humor, heart-warming character moments, and biting social commentary.
