The show Classic Doctor Who is a British science fiction television series that ran between 1963 and 1989. The eleventh season aired in 1974 and introduced a new Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee. In the fifth episode, titled "Invasion of the Dinosaurs: Part 1," the Doctor and his companion Sarah Jane Smith find themselves in the middle of a strange phenomenon that has caused dinosaurs to appear in modern-day London.

The episode begins with the TARDIS materializing in the middle of a deserted London street. The Doctor and Sarah Jane step out of the time machine and quickly realize that something is amiss. There are no people in sight, no cars on the road, and the buildings are all covered in foliage. The Doctor scans the area with his sonic screwdriver and detects an unusual energy reading coming from a nearby building.

The duo cautiously make their way towards the source of the energy reading and find themselves in a laboratory. There they meet a scientist named Dr. Grover, who is working on a mysterious project for the government. He explains to the Doctor and Sarah Jane that his team has developed a time machine, and they have been sending people and objects back in time to the prehistoric era in order to study them.

However, something has gone wrong with the project, and the time machine has started to malfunction. Instead of sending things back in time, it has been bringing dinosaurs forward into the present day. The Doctor is horrified by the implications of this technology, and he urges Dr. Grover to shut down the project immediately.

As they leave the laboratory, the Doctor and Sarah Jane witness a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex rampaging through the streets of London. The sight of the giant creature causes panic and chaos among the few people who are still around, and the Doctor realizes that the situation is rapidly escalating. He decides to investigate further and find out who is behind the dinosaur invasion.

The Doctor and Sarah Jane split up, with Sarah Jane going to the nearby Ministry of Defence to investigate the government's involvement in the project. Meanwhile, the Doctor goes to a nearby warehouse where he suspects the time machine is being operated from. There he encounters a group of soldiers who seem to be guarding the building, but they are unwilling to let him in.

The Doctor manages to persuade the soldiers to let him inside, but he soon discovers that they are working for a shadowy organization that has been manipulating the government and the scientists working on the time machine project. The organization's leader is a man named Whitaker, and he has a plan to use the dinosaurs to take control of the country.

The Doctor realizes that he and Sarah Jane are in serious danger, and he desperately tries to warn the government about the situation. However, it seems that the organization has already infiltrated the government at the highest levels, and the Doctor's warnings fall on deaf ears.

"Invasion of the Dinosaurs: Part 1" is a tense and action-packed episode that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With its combination of science fiction, political intrigue, and prehistoric creatures, it is a classic example of the kind of imaginative storytelling that made Doctor Who one of the most beloved television shows of all time.
