The infected workers from the Global Chemicals factory have been transformed into aggressive creatures, leaving the Doctor and Jo to fight for their lives. Meanwhile, the evil BOSS (Biomechanical Organism Systems Supervisor), a computer that has taken control of the Global Chemicals headquarters, plans to spread the maggots across the world by hijacking a missile. The Doctor must find a way to stop BOSS and the maggots before it's too late.
The Doctor and Jo team up with Professor Jones, the environmentalist leading the fight against Global Chemicals, and discover a cure for the maggot infection.
