Ep 1. Chuck Versus the Pink Slip

As the third season of Chuck begins, the title character (played by Zachary Levi) must come to terms with the fact that he has been fired from his job at the Buy More electronics store. Meanwhile, his CIA handlers Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) try to figure out how to keep him safe while he transitions into civilian life.

Chuck soon finds himself drawn back into the spy world, however, when he receives an urgent message from another CIA asset who has been compromised. The message leads him to a train station, where he has a close encounter with a group of heavily armed men.

Back at CIA headquarters, Sarah and Casey receive word that Chuck is in trouble and they mobilize a team to rescue him. Chuck is able to use his skills to evade his attackers, at one point even using a grapefruit to knock out one of his assailants.

As Sarah and Casey close in, Chuck uncovers a clue that leads him to believe that his former boss at the Buy More, Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence), is involved in a sinister conspiracy. He enlists the help of his friend and co-worker Morgan (Joshua Gomez) to infiltrate the Buy More and find evidence of Big Mike's wrongdoing.

Along the way, Chuck must also navigate his complicated feelings for Sarah, who he knows has romantic feelings for him but who is also technically his CIA handler. This tension comes to a head when the team is tasked with taking down a dangerous arms dealer and Chuck and Sarah are forced to pose as a married couple.

Despite the danger and the complications, Chuck is back in the spy game and ready to take on whatever challenges come his way.
