Upon questioning, he told her he was a Chronos Ruler and was fighting against time demons.

Chronos Ruler goes by the name of Jikan no Shihaisha in Japanese. The name is accurate and exciting when translated to 'Time Paladin' in English. The characters, the music, and even the plot have been lauded quite well by the audience. The animation of the show is decent, but it's not something that steals the spotlight as it is, by no means, the best thing about the show. The characters, both the main and secondary cast, have a unique and interesting design which makes them stand out amongst the vast chock of anime characters.

In every episode, Victor and Kiri are tasked with capturing time demons. The demons usually possess people that are on their death bed or those that have regret in their soul. Victor and Kiri usually exchange some banter before Kiri charges the demon, slaying it with her sword, and letting Victor reverse time back to a few moments before the demon possessed the human host. This reset of time erases the demon from both the host's body and the host's memory. However, Victor and Kiri notice something strange is happening as the time demons keep coming back despite their best efforts.

The show has a relatively simplistic concept, but that is one of its charms. It is easy to understand, making it enjoyable and not too complicated. Although the show starts slowly, the plot unravels with each passing episode. The audience is slowly given a connection to the demons' origin and what the Chronos Rulers are up against. By the final few episodes, the story's climax reaches a satisfying conclusion that wraps up the show's narrative, giving a sense of closure to its viewers.

The main characters are Mina Putin, Victor Putin, and Kiri Victor. Mina is a high school student, a little naive but always willing to help others. She has feelings for Victor and is worried about his heroic acts. Victor is a Chronos Ruler, a little lazy but genuinely caring for the people he saves. He dislikes people with regrets, and his continuous absence from class is because he is too busy chasing after time demons. Kiri Victor is another Chrono Ruler, the one who fights alongside Victor. She is strict, and capable, but also shows kindness towards people she saves.

The anime was well received by audiences and has its manga adaptation with the same name. The manga is still ongoing with a total of ten volumes released till now. The anime has only one season with 13 episodes that can be easily available on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation. The show has a unique concept, and the narrative remains engaging despite its simplistic premise.
