Ep 7. The Devil

The Devil, the seventh episode of Chrono Crusade, follows the continuation of the story of Rosette Christopher, a young exorcist, and her partner Chrono, a demon with a tragic past. The episode starts with Rosette and Chrono visiting a castle in New York to investigate the disappearance of several young girls who were last seen entering the castle. They soon discover that the castle is being used as a laboratory to conduct experiments on humans that have been possessed by demons. The laboratory is run by a wealthy man named Aion, who is rumored to be the devil himself.

Rosette and Chrono infiltrate the laboratory and face off against Aion's minions. They manage to save the girls and destroy the laboratory but encounter Aion, who reveals himself to be much more powerful than they thought. Aion possesses one of the girls and uses her as a shield to prevent Rosette from attacking him. However, Chrono manages to temporarily defeat Aion by channeling his full demonic powers.

After the battle, Rosette comes to realize that Aion is not the devil, but rather a powerful demon with his own agenda. She also learns that Chrono's demonic powers are much stronger than she thought, and she begins to question how much she can trust him. Meanwhile, Aion returns to his true form and begins to make preparations to carry out his mysterious plan.

The Devil is an action-packed episode that further develops the relationship between Rosette and Chrono while also introducing a new villain to the series. It raises important questions about the nature of demons and their motivations, as well as the trust between Rosette and Chrono. The episode also features excellent animation and fight scenes, making it a must-watch for fans of the series.
