In Chrono Crusade season 1 episode 14, titled "Invocation," the audience is taken on a journey with the exorcist duo, Rosette Christopher and Chrono. As members of the Order of Magdalene, their mission is to eliminate demons that roam the world.

The episode begins with the duo arriving at the Monastery of Saint Marie in search of clues about Aion, the demon they have been hunting. Upon arriving, they find the monks engaged in a solemn ritual that involves the sacrifice of a human being. Fueled by a desire to stop the heinous act, Rosette and Chrono rush in to save the victim. However, their interference triggers a chain reaction of events that leads to the awakening of a powerful demon.

As the demon emerges, the audience gets a glimpse of the sheer magnitude of its power. The demon is so big that it towers over the monastery and creates a massive earthquake with every step it takes. Rosette and Chrono soon realize that they are outclassed and outmatched, and in order to survive, they must run.

As they flee, they are joined by Satella Harvenheit, a rival exorcist from the rival Magdalene group.
