Christina Anstead is back with another episode of Christina on the Coast season 2, episode 7 titled 'Wellness Remodel.' The episode entails transforming a cramped 1950s style house into a relaxing and spacious retreat.
From the onset of the episode, Christina works with her team to come up with a plan for the overhaul of the house, which includes ripping up carpets and reorganizing the layout of the property. Christina's aim is to create a balance of style and wellness.
The first space Christina works on is the living room. With the help of her designer, she plans out a new interior to bring the space to life. The living room is painted in soft brown with new wooden oak flooring, and a linear fireplace is added for coziness. The team then proceeds to the dining area, where light and airy curtains are added to match the new vibe.
The next space for transformation is the bathroom. Christina gives the once dull space a new facelift, which includes a new waterproof floor, new vanity, and mirrors. The final flourish is the addition of a Japanese style soaking tub, which works perfectly for the space and creates a spa-like atmosphere.
The bedroom is the final space for Christina and her team to transform. The original bedroom layout was cramped and nonfunctional, but Christina and the designer were not short of ideas. They included a new accent wall, a beautiful chandelier, and new drapery to create a serene and relaxed environment in the room.
One of the most interesting aspects of this episode is the incorporation of wellness features into the redesign. Christina adds a yoga zone to the living room, where one can enjoy a yoga session while enjoying the beautiful view of the garden. She also adds a zen garden in the front area of the house to complete the look.
Overall, 'Wellness Remodel' is an inspiring and innovative episode of Christina on the Coast season 2. Christina's ability to infuse different elements of wellness into the design redefines home renovation and will no doubt give people a lot of ideas to incorporate into their own remodeling projects.
