Ep 4. Have a Heart

In the Have a Heart episode of Chopped season 6, four chefs are put to the test as they compete to create the best dishes made with animal hearts. As the competition begins, the chefs nervously eye the clock, trying to decide what to make with the mysterious ingredients that await them in the baskets.

The first round features chicken hearts as the main ingredient, and the chefs must use the hearts to create an appetizer in just 20 minutes. The final two chefs are given the task of creating a dessert using porcine hearts. With just 30 minutes on the clock, they must get creative in order to impress the panel of judges. One chef decides to make a rich, chocolatey tart with a porcine heart filling, while the other creates a light, fruity parfait with a heart-based custard. As time runs out, both chefs present their dishes to the judges, who must ultimately decide which creation they like the best.
