In season 6 episode 10 of Chicago PD titled 'Brotherhood', the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago Police Department is once again divided on how to handle a case that hits close to home for one of their own. Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team are called to investigate the murder of a young boy in a gang-related feud. As they dig deeper into the case, they discover that the victim is the little brother of one of their own - Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins).
Atwater is understandably distraught over the death of his brother and struggles to keep his emotions in check as he and the team work to find the killer. The investigation takes them deep into the world of gang violence, where they come face to face with the brutal reality of life on the streets. They discover that the victim was caught in the crossfire of a long-standing feud between two rival gangs and that there may be a new and dangerous player in the game.
As the team gets closer to solving the case, tensions run high between Atwater and Voight as they clash over the best course of action. Voight is determined to bring the killer to justice, no matter the cost, while Atwater struggles to balance his loyalty to his team with his desire to avenge his brother's death.
Meanwhile, Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) finds herself drawn into a dangerous situation when she goes undercover to try and gather information on the new gang in town. She finds herself in over her head and must rely on the team to get her out alive.
As the episode comes to a close, the team must come together and put aside their differences to bring the killer to justice and bring some closure to Atwater and his family. It's a powerful episode that showcases the challenges and dangers of being a police officer and the emotional toll it takes on those involved.
