Ep 11. Christmas Truce

In the second season of Chicago Hope, episode 11, titled "Christmas Truce," the hospital staff finds themselves dealing with a unique set of challenges during the holiday season. As the day shifts begin, the staff rushes to attend to various patients in need.

Dr. Kate Austin (Christine Lahti) and Dr. Aaron Shutt (Adam Arkin) are assigned to work together, but their differences and past resentments make it challenging for them to work together. Meanwhile, Dr. Phillip Watters (Hector Elizondo) is struggling to find a way to make Christmas special for his young son.

As the day progresses, tensions and emotions begin to run high. Dr. Jeffrey Geiger (Mandy Patinkin) and Dr. Kathryn Austin (Christine Lahti) are on opposing sides of a medical ethics debate, which causes a rift in their professional relationship.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Shutt runs into an old acquaintance, an attorney who is involved in a custody battle. Dr. Shutt agrees to assist her, and in doing so, he finds a renewed sense of purpose.

Meanwhile, Dr. Watters' young son wants nothing more than to see his mother, who is away on business. Struggling with his own emotions and the pressure to make Christmas special for his son, Dr. Watters makes a tough decision that will have consequences for his family.

Throughout the episode, the staff of Chicago Hope comes together to try and make the holiday season a little brighter for their patients and themselves. A sense of camaraderie and unity emerges, as they work together to save lives and provide care to those in need.

Despite the challenges and conflicts that arise, the staff of Chicago Hope learns the true meaning of Christmas - to come together and care for one another, no matter the circumstances.
