Cheyenne season 4 episode 2, titled "The Reprieve," follows the story of Cheyenne Bodie, a former army scout in the American West. In this episode, Cheyenne finds himself in a small town where a man is scheduled to be hanged for murder in two days.

As Cheyenne wanders through the town, he discovers that the murder victim's brother is planning to assassinate the man responsible for his brother's death. Cheyenne agrees to help the man get out of town, but they are soon stopped by a group of men looking to collect the reward money for turning him in. Cheyenne fights them off and the two men make a run for it.

As they travel through the wilderness, the two men begin to bond and Cheyenne learns that the murder wasn't as simple as it seemed. The man had been defending his wife's honor and was goaded into a fight by the victim. Cheyenne begins to see that the man deserves a chance at a second chance.

The rest of the episode follows Cheyenne as he attempts to help the man get a fair trial and prevent the assassination attempt. Along the way, he faces opposition from the victim's family and a corrupt sheriff who is more interested in the reward money than justice.

In the end, Cheyenne is able to prove the man's innocence and prevent the assassination, but not without some close calls and plenty of action. The episode ends with Cheyenne riding off into the sunset, true to his nature as a lone wanderer and defender of justice in the Old West.

Overall, "The Reprieve" is a classic Western tale of honor, justice, and redemption. It offers plenty of thrilling action scenes and memorable characters, with an underlying message about the importance of giving people a second chance. Fans of the Western genre and fans of Cheyenne Bodie specifically will undoubtedly enjoy this episode.
