Cheyenne season 3 episode 15, titled "Wagon-Tongue North," follows lead character Cheyenne as he is hired by a group of settlers to protect them on their journey to a new land. The settlers are traveling by wagon train and have encountered trouble along the way, losing both goods and people to a band of raiders.
Cheyenne agrees to escort the settlers to their destination, and they travel north in search of safety. Along the way, they face several obstacles, including harsh weather conditions, limited supplies, and attacks from the raiders. Cheyenne proves to be a skilled fighter and strategist, using his knowledge of the land and his own strength to protect the settlers and their belongings.
As they continue their journey, Cheyenne begins to develop close relationships with some of the settlers, particularly a young woman named Martha who is traveling with her father. Cheyenne and Martha form a bond, and she confides in him about her dreams of starting a new life in the west. Cheyenne is touched by her vulnerability, and he vows to do everything in his power to ensure that she survives the journey.
As the group approaches their destination, they realize that they are being followed by the raiders. Cheyenne decides to lead the raiders away from the settlers, putting himself in danger in order to save the others. He engages in a fierce battle with the raiders, and although he is badly injured, he manages to defeat them and return to the wagon train.
