As they approach Clearwater, Cheyenne realizes that the outlaws are not just after Susan, but they are planning a robbery of the town's bank. Cheyenne hatches a plan to stop the gang and protect Susan, but it will require all his skills and courage.

Quicksand is a thrilling episode of Cheyenne that showcases the show's blend of action, adventure, and drama. Clint Walker is excellent as the laconic and fearless Cheyenne, who always stands up for what is right, no matter the danger. Bethel Leslie gives a solid performance as Susan, a damsel in distress who has more strength and intelligence than she initially appears. The episode is directed by the veteran television director Leslie H. Martinson, who keeps the pace fast and the tension high.
