Everyone Imitates Art is the tenth episode of the fifth season of the iconic American sitcom, Cheers. Set in the titular Boston bar, the show follows the lives and loves of the staff and regulars. In this episode, a painting with hidden meaning causes the characters to question each other's motives and relationships.

The episode opens with a painting being delivered to the bar. It is a picture of a couple embracing, entitled "The Kiss." At first, everyone admires it and comments on its beauty. However, Frasier (played by Kelsey Grammer) soon notices that something strange is going on with the painting. He points out that it has a hidden image in it - a more sinister portrayal of the couple's relationship. This causes the other characters to question their own relationships and motives.

The main storyline of the episode revolves around Sam (played by Ted Danson) and Diane (played by Shelley Long). Sam is trying to win Diane back after their tumultuous past, and he hopes that the painting will help him. However, a conversation with Frasier makes him see that he might be trying too hard and not being himself. Diane, on the other hand, is confused about her feelings and is not sure if she still loves Sam or not. She gets advice from her friend and coworker, Carla (played by Rhea Perlman), who tells her to follow her heart and not overthink things.

Meanwhile, the other characters are also affected by the painting and its hidden message. Woody (played by Woody Harrelson) worries about his relationship with his girlfriend, Kelly (played by Jackie Swanson). He starts to think that she might be cheating on him and becomes paranoid. Norm (played by George Wendt) is affected too - he begins to question his own marriage and whether he is happy in it.

Throughout the episode, the characters interact with each other and offer advice and support. They reflect on their own relationships and motives, and ultimately come to the conclusion that they need to be true to themselves and follow their hearts.

Aside from the central storyline, there are also a few comedic subplots in the episode. One involves Cliff (played by John Ratzenberger) and his obsession with winning a trip to Hawaii. He becomes convinced that he is going to win, but ultimately ends up disappointed. Another subplot involves Carla and the other waitresses competing to see who is the most attractive. This leads to some hilarious banter and hijinks.

Overall, Everyone Imitates Art is a classic episode of Cheers. It combines humor with heart and presents relatable themes and characters. The show was a cultural phenomenon in its time and remains a beloved classic to this day.
